Really recently, I have been searching for some (any) Native American God(s) that may have been believed to preside over Redwood Trees.
My search led me to a Californian Native American tribe called the Yurok. I stumbled onto a Yurok language dictionary at http://corpus.linguistics.berkeley.edu/~yurok/web/lexicon.html that had the word, "KIHL" meaning Redwood Tree in the Yurok language.
The pronunciation can be heard at http://www.spellbook.info/magocracy/kihl.mp3
This was great progress, though I would still like to find out if there were any (Native American or other) Gods in History or the Present that would be believed to preside over Redwood Trees.
Anyone knowing and willing to share this information, please leave a comment on this post!
Thank You,
Josh Cramer

Status of Redwood Tree, End of Watering Logs, and Initiation of Watches
The Giant Sequoia has been doing great! I am now watering the Redwood Tree on the following days of the week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with 2 large glass bottles full of water (about 3 gallons total).
For now, I am no longer logging my watering times. I will now be publishing my Watches of the Growth of the Redwood Tree, starting with the First Watch, which is a time elapse video over 3 days. The Second Watch will contain a time elapse video of the same video length but over 2 months in real time. The Third Watch will possibly be a magnified close-up view of a few branches over a shorter time...
In about 2 months from this post, I will have the Second Watch published on YouTube.com/QuantumSingularityTV and embedded near the top of the blog homepage, and as of right now, the First Watch has been embedded near the top of the blog homepage.

Records of Watering for April 27, 2010 through May 10, 2010
Approximately 3 gallons of water has been given to the Giant Sequoia in my yard once every day, and from when it had been about 3 weeks since planting the tree in the ground, I have now been watering about 3 gallons of water every other day for approximately 3 more weeks. Then, after these 3 weeks, I will administer about 3 gallons of water only twice per week.

Records of Watering for (April 17-20, 2010)
It rained a little on and off for four days, so I did not give it water, since the rain water did well. I gave the Giant Sequoia 3 more gallons of water on April 20, 2010, but then it rained some more later on that day. It still seems healthy.

Giant Sequoia Planted In My Florida Yard In The Northern Tampa Bay Area
I ordered a Giant Sequoia measuring about 40" to 42" tall from California a few days ago, and I have just recieved my Giant Sequoia from Welker's Grove Nursery (Giant-Sequoia.com) today on Wednesday, April 14, 2010.
I have planted my Giant Sequoia in the shade under 4 "regular" Florida trees in my yard.
I do not have much of any gardening experience, but I have recieved assistance and advice from a local gardener.
Today, I have given the Giant Sequoia three gallons of water, and I will need to give it three more gallons of water tommorrow, while repeating the cycle of three gallons of water per day for three weeks. After three weeks have passed, then I can give it three gallons of water every other day instead of every day.
I will post more information as more events happen...
